Admissions & career coaching
I applied to seven graduate programs across two admissions seasons — Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and UCL for my master’s in education, then Kellogg and Ross for my MBA — and was admitted to all seven, with scholarships from the schools and from India. Nobody in my extended family had left our hometown before I did, and I had no consultant showing me the way. Now I coach students through the same journey, one at a time, at prices a student can actually afford.

Why I do this
I grew up watching my parents give away more than we comfortably had — blankets and food for people who needed them, weekends at blind schools and orphanages. Money was often tight in our house; giving was still never negotiable. As a teenager I started teaching children in the slum near our home, for whom counting to ten was the achievement of a year. I didn’t know it then, but I’ve been doing some version of this work ever since.
I studied engineering because it was practical, and worked at IBM in Sweden because my family needed me to be financially independent. The work was good; the meaning wasn’t. So I left it for a Teach For India fellowship, teaching mathematics to 150 girls in one of Asia’s largest unauthorized settlements. I sat in their homes with parents who believed a daughter’s education ended at marriage. When a policy change took away our classroom, my students studied under the sun and kept smiling — so we crowdfunded an after-school learning centre and kept going. Every one of my students graduated high school, and most are in college today, in a country where barely a quarter of women get that far.
When it was my turn to study further, I applied the way I taught: with research, honesty, and many drafts. Five master’s applications — Harvard, Penn, Columbia, Vanderbilt, and UCL — became five admits, and I chose an Ed.M at Penn’s Graduate School of Education. Two MBA applications — Kellogg and Ross — became two more, and I chose Kellogg. Both degrees were funded, by the universities and by scholarships back home in India. I tell you this not to impress you, but because it’s the entire reason this website exists: I know, from the applicant’s chair and recently, what a true and well-told application looks like. And I remember exactly what it feels like to have no one to ask.
Today I work in go-to-market strategy at Salesforce, and I coach in my evenings and weekends. This is not my livelihood, and I intend to keep it that way. It’s my way of answering the calls.
The record, stated honestly
Seven applications, seven admits, funded — that is my record as an applicant, not a promise about yours. Nobody honest can promise you an admit, and you should walk away from anyone who does. What I can promise: every call, every draft, and every mock interview is with me; I will tell you the truth at every step, including “this school list is unrealistic” if that’s the truth; and I will still pick up your call long after decision day.
How it works
A real sequence — each step only makes sense after the one before it.
You talk, I listen. We map where you are, where you're aiming, and whether I'm the right person to get you there. No pitch, no pressure.
I recommend the exact package for your situation — nothing more. If a single $30 resume review is all you need, that's what I'll tell you.
Sessions, drafts, and honest feedback on a set schedule — until the application, essay, or interview answer is genuinely admit-ready.

Services & pricing
Everything below is something I’ve done for myself, recently, under real deadlines. The prices are flat and on the page because sales calls are exhausting from both sides of the table. If you’re not sure what you need, please don’t buy anything — book the free chat and I’ll tell you honestly, even if the honest answer is that you don’t need me.
All prices in USD and treated as starting points — email me and I’ll shape the scope and price to your situation. Sessions run on Zoom, in your timezone.

Book the free callA note on my prices
You’ll notice my prices look wrong. The average admissions consultant charges several thousand dollars; the famous firms charge more than a year of tuition. I charge $20 for a discovery call and $500 for complete essay support because I’ve decided who this is for: students and families for whom those other numbers simply end the conversation — students like the girls I taught, or like me at twenty-two. I have a career that pays my bills. Coaching is the part of my week where I get to be a teacher again. If my prices ever rise, it will be because my calendar has genuinely run out — never because I’ve decided to become one of those firms.

Send your resume; get it back sharper within 72 hours.
Pick the right college with a decision you can actually defend — to yourself and your parents.
Getting in was only half my problem; paying for it was the other half — and a dream school you can’t pay for isn’t an admit, it’s a heartbreak. It’s also avoidable.
We start with a conversation, not a prompt — real essays live in the things you’d only say off the record. I edit; I never write it for you. Your sentences, once you trust them, carry more truth than mine could.
The portal is where resumes go to wait — nearly everything good in my US career began with a conversation instead. A referral is borrowed trust, and it can be learned.
A realistic dry run — college, MBA, or job — before the one that counts.
For b-school aspirants — the positioning work I wish I'd had before Kellogg.
Everything, end-to-end, through decision day — for up to 4 schools.
Need something custom — transfer apps, scholarship essays, a waitlist letter? Mention it on the free call — or just email me.
Virtual coffee chat · always free
Ask what my day at Salesforce actually looks like, what go-to-market strategy means, whether Teach For India is right for you, or whether an MBA makes sense in your situation. When I was figuring out my own life, a handful of strangers gave me their time and asked for nothing back; these slots are how I keep that going. Come with one real question — you’ll leave with an honest answer, and if I know someone better placed to help you, an introduction too.
Fair game
Pick whatever's useful — or bring something else entirely. These are just the topics I get asked about most.
What I actually do at Salesforce as a [Your Title], how teams are structured, what the culture is genuinely like, and how people get hired into roles like mine — including the parts the careers page leaves out.
How go-to-market strategy works in practice: segmentation, pricing and packaging, sales motions, and partnering with product. Useful whether you're breaking in, switching tracks, or just trying to sound credible in an interview.
What the fellowship is really like, what it demands of you, and how it shaped everything I did after. Happy to be honest about the hard parts — especially if you're deciding whether to apply.
Choosing a major, the fellowship-vs-corporate question, when an MBA is worth it (and when it isn't), and how to think about pivots when the next step isn't obvious yet.
What those two years were actually like, what I'd do differently, and whether the sticker price makes sense for your situation. No admissions pitch — just an honest read.
If it's adjacent to any of the above, ask. If I don't know the answer, I'll say so — and where I can, I'll point you to someone who does.
Ground rules
No paid upsell at the end. If coaching would help you, I'll mention it once and then drop it. Most of these chats end with a book recommendation, not a checkout link.
Twenty minutes goes fast. "Tell me about yourself" burns ten of them. One specific question gets you a far more useful answer than a general one.
These slots are limited and someone else wants yours. Can't make it? Cancel from your confirmation email — zero hard feelings, genuinely.

FAQ
Yes. The free call is open to everyone, and Calendly shows every slot in your local timezone; all sessions run on Zoom. For paid services we agree on scope over email first — inside the US you can pay through my Venmo, and if you’re elsewhere we’ll pick a method that works in your country before any work begins.
There’s no catch. I have a full-time career I love; coaching is service, not income. Low prices are the point, because the students I most want to reach can’t pay consultant prices, and I won’t build something they can’t walk into.
Book the free call, or email me naming the service you’re interested in. I’ll reply with scope, timeline, and a price shaped to your situation — nothing is owed until we’ve both agreed. Then I’ll send a payment link (my Venmo in the US, an alternative if you’re abroad) plus instructions for sending your documents; the turnaround clock starts when they land.
Reschedule any live session free of charge with 24+ hours notice — just use the link in your confirmation email. [Add your refund policy here — e.g., "Full refund on any package before the first session or first document review; prorated after that."]
No — it’s my history as an applicant, shared so you know I’ve recently sat where you’re sitting. Committees decide admissions; anyone who guarantees you an admit is lying. What I guarantee is preparation with nothing left on the table, and honesty even when it’s uncomfortable.
No. Ghostwriting gets applicants rejected and, at many schools, rescinded. I brainstorm with you, structure with you, and edit line-by-line while keeping your voice — the essay stays genuinely yours, which is also what makes it good.
No. I'm an alum of both, but this is an independent coaching practice with no affiliation to, or endorsement from, the University of Pennsylvania or Northwestern University.
Resume reviews come back within 72 hours. Essay editing rounds take 3–5 days each. During application season (October–January), book review slots early — the calendar fills.
I reply within one business day — sooner during application season.
